McCall’s New York Designers’ Collection Plus N/1027; ©1968; Originala – Misses’ Suit and Blouse: Single breasted jacket with two-piece set-in sleeves, four section skirt and back buttoned blouse with long set-in sleeves. Jacket, fitted by panel seaming in front and back seam, has shoulder extensions on back forming front yokes, stitch and button trimmed flaps. Faced collar is included in neck facing seam and fronts folded back to form revers. Jacket is lined, interfaced where necessary and back and sleeves are underlined. Lined and underlined skirt, gathered into interfaced waistband, has stitch trimmed seams, zipper in left back seam. Blouse, with rounded vents in side seams and bias rolled collar, has front gathered to back shoulder extensions. Sleeves are gathered into cuffs fastened with link buttons. Cuffs, collar and back edges are interfaced.
Some pattern pieces have been cut with tiny pinking shears, as was the custom in those days.
